Gas Plant Construction

Tenawa Haven Processing LLC was the Owner on this new natural gas processing facility near Haven, Kansas and brought UCI on board to construct the site civil and structural concrete for the new plant. UCI was asked to provide preliminary budget numbers on a portion of the project as it was not completely designed. Our team assisted in preconstruction services included budgeting, value engineering and constructibility as well as scheduling.

UCI was able to staff the project with multiple crews to perform the civil package of the project which required 23,000 manhours to complete 300 auger cast piles and 2500 CY of structural concrete. Due to the fast-track nature of this project, the Owner needed to begin construction prior to having all drawings issued for construction. Throughout the course of the project UCI worked with the GC to determine which drawings were priority and the timing of engineering releases to stay ahead of steel erection and setting of equipment.
