Chuck Grier
Chairman
After graduating from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science, he began his career as a field engineer. Chuck then worked his way to project manager with a separate company before taking a position as general manager at Utility Contractors of Oklahoma, Inc. He also graduated as a Commissioned Officer in the USAR-COE and spent eight years as a reserve combat engineer officer. Chuck is also a past president of state chapters of the Associated General Contractors of America (in Kansas and Oklahoma). Within AGC of America, Chuck has served on several committees and is a Lifetime National Director. In 2013, Chuck co-authored a paper titled, “Construction Kata: Adapting Toyota Kata to a Lean Construction Project Production System.” Over the years, Chuck has been very involved in the Wichita community, having served as president of the Executive Board of the Quivira Council- Boy Scouts of America and on a number of other Boards, including The Kansas Chamber of Commerce, Heartspring, Goodwill Industries along with several other chapters of local business affiliated organizations. He is also in the KSU College of Engineering Hall of Fame and a Commencement Speaker. Chuck currently serves as a Director on a local/regional bank board.
