Project Overview

Process Pipe Construction

The project owner, operated by Magellan Midstream Partners, added two
190kbbl tanks to its existing Platteville, CO terminal. UCI was selected to field
fabricate two expansion manifolds to transfer crude oil from multiple systems
to the expanded storage. The project scope included the installation of two
thirty inch underground lines from the expanded transfer manifold to the newly erected tanks as well as the installation of three twenty inch lines through the operational facility. The fabricated manifold components were assembled during a 28 hour terminal outage. UCI completed 28.5% ahead of schedule and operations closed the outage window 20% ahead of schedule.
