Project Overview

Dirt Work Construction

Enogex was an OGE Energy Corp (NYSE: OGE) business focused on natural gas pipelines, now operating as Enable Midstream Partners. Burns and McDonnell engaged UCI to provide value engineering and construction services to perform site construction for a new 55-acre natural gas fractionation plant. Scope of work included moving 200,000 CY of dirt to level and balance the site, installing 11,000 tons of rock for roads and drainage stabilization, storm drainage, and security fencing.

Utilizing UCI’s Predictable Performance® project delivery system allowed the project team to successfully and efficiently navigate large obstacles, including buried boulders the size of a school bus. The project was ultimately delivered early, allowing the UCI team to perform additional work allowing the project to accelerate the concrete package portion of the project.
